The Client is a multi-brand women’s wear retailer offering beautifully crafted clothing and accessories. They had a mission of offering their customers an all-encompassing luxury shopping experience. With more than two decades of experience in offline apparel retail, they wanted to expand their business by enabling online retail for the same. So they connected with us to develop an eCommerce portal which had to be in a very special and unique way.

The client had various ideas like User Personalization where user preferences should be understood to give right recommendations. Shop with Stylist was another feature, where Users can chat with Stylist partners and get a right suggestion on a complete suite of apparels. As a Development Partner we were keen on understanding the client’s domain, ideas and requirements, and devised a plan to develop MVP (Phase 1) of their eCommerce solution.

Solution

We helped the client to launch an impressive eCommerce application, powered by Magento. We created a great digital experience with features like On-page checkout, Product Quick view and Gift Card options. WordPress integration incorporated a blog and Instagram integration in addition that helped to generate traffic. As the client wanted to offer a personalised shopping experience for each customer by assigning a personal stylist, it was essential to record the customer preferences. This was another challenge and we developed a platform that could work across the customer & stylist.

Process

We identified Magento as the best suited platform for the development. We started development on Magento version 1.9.1 and created a customized it completely based on designs and feature requirements.

Shop with Stylist

The concept of Shop with Stylist feature is to get user preferences from Questionnaires answered by the users and assign a stylist to them as they signup. Also, there was a requirement for an offline chat functionality, which enabled easy communication between the stylist & the customer.

Bluedart Labelling & Shipping Integration

The Client requested to automate the shipping process with the support of leading shipping company, Bluedart. Their requirements included checking Cash on Delivery availability at a specific zip code, AWB generation, product order PDF generation and estimated delivery date check features. We integrated extensions provided by Bluedart and as required and customized certain other modules to achieve seamless experience.
